Outfit Post #2 I'm feeling romantic

This dress is actually my mom's which she bought from Awear. The length of the dress is actually below the knees which I didn't like so I just made a few modifications to make it more appealing to me. I was so psyched to wear my newest nude heels so I decided to wear this dress with a whole lot of colors. 

I love gold accessories.

Nude heels!

Its been awhile since I've been scouring the shoe racks of stores for the perfect pair of nude heels. The nude heels/pumps are so versatile, its like the new black. You can wear it with anything, plus it adds extra height. I've been wanting to own one since I saw these babies online.

So ever since, I have been searching for the perfect nude heels and that day finally ended. While le boyf and I went strolling to SM department store (one of my favorite department stores aside from Landmark) I headed out to the ladies section. I was doing my casual shoe browsing and suddenly I saw it displayed. I checked the item, the price, the fit and everything was perfect. My boyf saw me wanting it so he decided to buy it for me as a delayed birthday present. The heel height is just 2 or 3 inches (I guess?) but I love it.

I sooo love him and the shoes of course =) I can't wait to style and wear it.

I wanted to create an outfit that exudes femininity yet with a touch of rock glamour. The nude color and simplicity of the dress creates a contrast to the black heels, belt and huge accessories yet puts the whole outfit together. 

Experiment on putting together outfits. Be fearless and try on trends that doesn't necessarily compliment each other.

Fashion is everyone's own unique style whatever their body shape.

Thrift Loves post #1

I absolutely love thrift shopping! It gives me the thrill of  searching for awesome pieces and buying it at a fraction of the cost. Finding clothes in thrift stores challenges my inner creativeness. When I find something worthy, I think of ways on how to update it and make it more modern or even vintage. Believe it or not, you can rock the latest trends without breaking your wallet. Just go to your nearest thrift store (ukay-ukay in our local language), be patient, rummage through all the clothes and you will find something worth your interest. Trust me, I've had a first-hand experience.

Since I love thrifting so much, half of my closet came from thrift stores (ukay-ukay). Here are some of the ones I bought and how I styled them.

Cute printed dress. The printed fabric is sheer and flowy. Price is a whopping 75 Php (around $1)

Sequined bolero/jacket. Bought this for 150Php ($3)

When wearing a corset, make sure to balance it with romantic skirts or sleek black pants for a more elegant and polished look. I stumbled upon this photo that caught my eye while I was browsing for style inspirations. It was perfect. Simple, classic, romantic and vintage are the words that pop through my mind. Plus the nail color adds an edgy vibe opposing the romantic feel of it all.

A story comes to mind when I look at the photo of a pretty young lady who is happy and in love. I think I'm a sucker for romance haha
